Hosta of the Year Earth Angel
This large, elegant hosta features heart shaped blue green leaves with creamy white margins and soft lavender flowers. A stunning statement plant for the shade garden. Grows thirty to thirty five inches tall.
Hosta Striptease
A unique variety with a light yellow centre, wide green margins, and a fine white stripe separating the two. Eye catching and versatile, it performs well in both sun and shade. Grows twenty four inches tall.
Hosta Fire and Ice
A crisp, high contrast hosta with bright white centres and deep green edges. Beautiful when planted along garden borders, between rocks, or paired with ferns and white flowering plants. Grows twenty inches tall.
Slugs Love Hostas
Slugs are drawn to the cool, shady areas where hostas thrive, but there are effective and eco friendly ways to manage them. One of the most reliable options is Diatomaceous Earth, which contains microscopic mineral particles that deter slugs when they crawl across it. Another tried and true method is placing a shallow dish of beer beneath your hostas. Slugs are attracted to it and do not crawl back out. Call it a slug bar if you wish.
